Emily received a B.A. from the University of Iowa, a J.D. from South Texas College of Law, and an L.L.M. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.  Throughout the past decade she has lived and worked throughout Latin America, including Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Argentina, and Venezuela.  During this time Emily developed a broad understanding of the cultural and business environments of Latin America, while achieving native fluency in Spanish and Portuguese. Emily has also traveled throughout Europe and Asia.  Emily lives with her family in Boulder.

Even President Obama’s Uncle Could be Deported

Just days before he arrives in Boulder to talk to undergraduate students, President Obama, has his uncle clearly on his mind. Like so many of us, Obama struggles with the possibility of one of his own family members being deported based on his immigration status in this country.
